El legado artístico de María Pilar Gallastegui Bodet (Madrid, 1904-1986). Documentación, inventario y conservación preventiva

Abstract

[ES] Este trabajo final de máster tiene como propósito valorizar la trayectoria profesional y vital de la grabadora e ilustradora María Pilar Gallastegui Bodet (Madrid, 1908-1986), iniciando una línea de investigación monográfica con el objetivo de reubicarla en el panorama artístico nacional e internacional y con la intención de que sea reconocida su labor y la gran aportación que significa para nuestro colectivo artístico y social. Para ello, se realiza una investigación documental y un registro fotográfico de todas las obras que la artista legó como herencia familiar, para conformar una colección ordenada por medio de tareas de identificación, marcaje e inventario. Se ha diseñado una base de datos para este fin, considerando el estándar internacional Object ID y haciendo uso de un lenguaje normalizado como consecuencia de la utilización de los tesauros y manuales terminológicos más importantes y consensuados. Una vez documentadas las obras de la colección, con el establecimiento de sus campos identificativos y descriptivos fundamentales, se han implementado estrategias básicas de almacenamiento y conservación preventiva, así como un plan de divulgación para la puesta en valor de este patrimonio que permanecía oculto y desconocido. De este modo, las tareas de documentación e inventariado contempladas en este trabajo servirán para futuras actividades de difusión y exposiciones monográficas.

[EN] The purpose of this final master's thesis is to value the professional and vital career of the engraver and illustrator María Pilar Gallastegui Bodet (Madrid, 1908-1986), initiating a line of monographic research with the aim of relocating her on the national and international artistic scene and with the intention that her work and the great contribution that it means to our artistic and social collective be recognized. For this, a documentary investigation and a photographic record of all the works that the artist bequeathed as a family inheritance are carried out, to shape an ordered collection through identification, marking and inventory tasks. A database has been designed for this purpose, considering the international Object ID standard and making use of a standardized language as a result of the use of the most important and agreed thesauri and terminology manuals. Once the artworks of the collection have been documented, with the establishment of their fundamental identifying and descriptive fields, basic storage and preventive conservation strategies have been implemented, as well as a diffusion plan for the enhancement of this heritage that remained hidden and unknown. In this way, the documentation and inventory tasks contemplated in this work will serve for future dissemination activities and monographic exhibitions.
