In the event of modern architecture, the disparity of performances we can found in several publications that emerged since its beginnings, have helped to increase this confusion. However, architecture as a constructed reality, no stops being a product manufactured by man, it is preceded by a reasoned process in which the architect evaluates the different conditions that there are, whose validity is determined by the correct application of the rules used , which in turn depends largely on the attitude of the author in front of architecture. This way, from the comparative analysis of the career of two renowned architects such as Alejandro de la Sota and Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oiza, I’ve tried to determine the influence of ethical arguments on architectural approaches. . The observed difference between the two ways of understanding architecture, justified the choice of all the colleagues who began their careers after the end of the civil war, and this contrast can clearly demonstrate the always difficult relationship between theory and practice of architecture. In this way, it was necessary to make a previous analysis between the architectural discourse and the production of each of the two architects, from there, it besides being able to verify the degree of coherence between the author and their work and it can establish relevant parallels for the subsequent comparison of the two paths, focusing the analysis on the ethical principles. The respective individual analyses are preceded by a study on the state of affairs, and the work incorporates so far it all has been published by the moment on the thought and character of the two architects. Also, each stage of comparative analysis is contextualized within the architectural reality of the moment what is completed with the backgrounds in which appear the evolution that architecture had in Spain, with a particular emphasis on the arguments and demonstrating from the early twentieth century they showed a modern approach in the conception of architecture. To get coherence results, due to the temporary nature of both ethical and architectural approaches, the whole study has been structured following the same steps, including the conclusions.
