ABSTRACT The present work is aimed to analyze, from the standpoint of the arts disciplines, and the gender studies and semiology, the gender-specific differences in the hip hop graffiti production; whether formal differences (the visual characteristics of the production), or structural differences (in the action and performance of the works as a specific culture). Once determined the likeness and dissimilarities relationships between these visual systems, the following questions will be addressed: the role of the female authors as artists and their subjectivity in the hip hop culture; the aesthetic coding in the hip hop graffiti; and the regulation of the hip hop graffiti production in the female poetics. KEYWORDS: Graffiti, hip hop, women, singularity, significant.
