SUMMARY 

The present investigation frames the conceptual art that includes the body as an artistic 
supponrt in the intervention of nature: body-nature-work, within the cultural context of 
the Spain of the decade of years 70. Concretely through the performances and of the 
interventions as sculptures or installations. 

Two are the artists subject that occupies to us: Ŕngels Ribé, who in the 69 makes works with
characteristics that located her in European land art, and Fine Miralles, who is the 
pioneer of the Cos - Natura or Body- Nature- Works and that because of the chronology of 
these works they are contemporaries of Ana Mendieta, who is adjudge as being the pioneer. 

Our central objective will be to emphasize the omission that the art history talking about 
the European land art and specifically Spanish, has done in relation to two Catalans land 
artists, searching that they could be include in allusive text editions or does that from 
this date are generated in the subject of land art and in Catalans’ performances and Spanish
too.

Also, we referred works of different body treatments and deepened in the accomplishments of 
Gina Pane, Ana Mendieta and Valič Export, being creatives that agree with the visions and 
expositions from Ŕngels Ribé and Fina Miralles. 

In the same way, we will treat the characteristics that define The European land art, we 
will emphasize those that differentiate it from the American, and that places them within 
that sort of the art, referring in specific works of Andy Goldsworthy, Richard Long, 
Giuseppe Penone and in resistance by some of its appreciations to the American Robert 
Smithson. And of all of them, and others like: Vanessa Mexican Beecroft and of the Carmen 
Neuhauss Arvizu, Yolanda Gutiérrez, Omar González and Reto Morger, that also count on 
thematic, formal points of contact or of proposal in their works with the ones of Fina
Miralles and Ŕngels Ribé. 

We will analyze the most representative works of Ŕngels Ribé and Fine Miralles of the decade
 of the 70’s, in which specially they worked conceptual art in different supports and 
special Cos- Natura: Body-nature-work. And that will confirm their notoriety and how they 
were anticipated for this period of time.
