In the case of tables 1 and 2 the data are obtained after measurements by polarization resistance measurements, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy measurements and Tafel polarization curves measurements. In the case of table 3 the data are obtained after analysis of disolved aluminium by Aluminum Cell Test 0.02–0.50 mg/L supplied by Merck and a Spectroquant® Prove 100 spectrophotometer. Software: Quantchrome´s Data Reduction software 6.0 for adsorption-desorption isotherms (Figure 12). Environmental/experimental conditions: room temperature (electrochemical experiences, aluminium analysis and FTIR-ATR spectroscopy) or ultra-vacuum (FESEM, EDX, FIB-FESEM) or -196ºC (adsorption-desorptiom isotherms). -------------------------- DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION -------------------------- Number of variables: 14 Variable list, defining any abbreviations: E(V)=Potential in volts; I(A)=Intensity in Amperes; I(uA/cm2)=current density in micro amperes per square centimeters; t(s)=time measurements in seconds; wavenumbers (cm-1); Z´´(Ohm·cm2) and Z´(Ohm·cm2)= negative imaginary impedance –Z'' is plotted versus the real part of the impedance Z' in ohm square centimiters; Rp(Ohm·cm2)= polarization resistance in ohm square centimiters; icorr (uA/cm2)= corrosion rate in micro amperes per square centimeters; Energy of the X rays (keV)=RX energy in kilo electronvolts; Al (mg/L)= Soluble Al content in miligramm per liter; Absorbed volume (cm3/g)=absorbed volume in cubic centimiter per gramm; BET surface area (m2/g)= BET surface area in square meters per gramm; PSD (cm3/g/nm)= pore size distribution in cubic centimiters per gramm and per nanometers.
