Total size: 5,125 MB -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.heliyon.2024.e30811 Methods for processing the data: To take acoustic measurements in each corrosion process stage, a B&K 4189-A-021 microphone and a preamplifier B&K model 2671, connected to a NI USB 9234 data acquisition card at a sampling rate of 10000 Hz, were used. The signal was obtained by the Data Acquisition Matlab Toolbox. Three amplitude-time signals were recorded by plucking the string and the average was calculated. The Matlab Signal Processing Toolbox was used to calculate the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the Power Spectral Density (PSD) Software- or Instrument-specific information needed to interpret the data, including software and hardware version numbers: Data Acquisition Matlab Toolbox. Standards and calibration information, if appropriate: Standard ISO 717-1. Acoustics — Rating of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements Part 1: Airborne sound insulation Environmental/experimental conditions: Room temperature. -------------------------- DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION -------------------------- Number of variables: 5 Variable list, defining any abbreviations, units of measure, codes or symbols used: Frequency (Hz); Sampling frequency (fs); Fast Fourier Transform (FFT); Power Spectral Density (PSD); Resistance of the string (Rp (Ohm·cm2)); Mass Loss (g); PSD fundamental frequency/PSD total (%); Total PSD (Pa2/Hz).
