Pilar Roig Picazo and Dr. José Martín Vivó Llobat Summary: This work is divided into two parts: the first presents a socio-historical analysis of artistic and anthropological contents about this ancient great playful ritual, allowing us to know and understand the value of this cultural heritage of Mesoamerica and the world, as it us as a property of double importance, being able to be tangibly appreciated for its over 1500 ballcourts found, as well as countless pieces of sculpture, ceramics, paintings, etc. But no less important is their value as ethnographic cultural practice, and that goes back some 3500 years and is still playing… In the second part of this thesis presents a new way to publicize and disseminate the Mesoamerican ritual, trying to contribute to its preservation, as well as the real and personal property related to this. It proposes to introduce into the schools and universities curricula workshop practices of scale replicas modeled through the manual on architectural and sculptural elements related to the Ball Game, giving these works to is greater awareness, appreciation and valuation of this cultural property in other places and continents.
