Summary of the Thesis Title “The Technologies of the Information and Communication (TIC) and his application to the technical education through models of education centered in the student” Author: MG. D. Oscar Manuel Pascal Directors: Dr D. José María Torralba Martínez Dr D. Manuel Rodenes Adam The main aim of this exploratory investigation has been to identify determined strategic variables that contribute to the development of a technical and pedagogical model of alternative education to the “face to face” education. It has been experienced with the type Blended Learning a model that, applying Technologies of Information and Communication (TIC) with other diverse political contribute to the solution of problems of desertion / failure and elongation of the studies of a lot of technical careers (engineering). The principal hypothesis has been that, “there are some key conditions so that the integration of activities of Blended Learning to the activity of “face to face” education, can result positively in the attitude (motivation) of students and therefore in the quality (efficiency) of the education that the student receive” The structure of the method has three phases: descriptive- interpretative, almost experimental and prospective ,during which administered wide questionnaires to students and professors with the object to describe the previous situation to the pilot experience, in which took part students from the engineering careers at Lomas de Zamora National University In addition, we administered a questionnaire to evaluate the factors that, in agreement to the theoretical referential frame, are relevant in the educational half-full models with TIC. Finally, one worked with an experts' panel across a counterfoil of crossed impacts and multiplication applied to a classification. To analyze the data obtained (during the academic year 2006) used statistical-descriptive proofs, analysis bivariate, multivariate and of linear regression multivariate. The results allow having an approximation to the behavior of the population under study, respect of the impact that the incorporation of TIC to the education has meant. Observe that, the students of each cycle answer to different models with intervention of distinct variables with uneven behavior. These relations, - so much positive and negative – and its reference to groups of students in different stages of the career could be considered to the moment to design didactic strategies that contemplate the integration of TIC to the “face to face” education, with the object to optimize the experiences results.
