A través del espejo gitano. El mito como raíz desfigurativa

Abstract

En este proyecto se estudian los elementos del mito gitano a través de figuras e imágenes que empiezan a configurarse, tal y como las conocemos, a partir de el siglo XIX. Estas imágenes que circulan en la literatura, el arte y otros medios populares son estereotipos que permanecen hoy en día debido a una serie de ficciones teóricas que distorsionan la realidad. Entender el proceso de creación de las imágenes y subrayar la naturaleza cultural de esta violencia es el preludio a la acción.In this project the elements of the gypsy myth are studied through figures and images that began to shape, as we know them, in the 19th century. These images that circulate in literature, art and other popular media are stereotypes that remain today due to a series of theoretical fictions that distort reality. Understanding the process of creating images and underlining the cultural nature of this violence is the prelude to action.
