Resumen
The problem of the stability of the slopes depends on a large variety of natural factors: geological, pedological,
surveying, climatic, hidrogeological, erosive factors, or in the case of the slopes in the reservoirs, it depends on effects
produced by the action of the water level. It is pretended to analyse and quantify the surface slipping provoked in water
saturated soils after extreme rains, measuring the displacement of several points, situated in areas which are supposed to be
instable in the slopes, to which we name points of control. These points of control are measured by GPS techniques (Global
Positioning Systems), using the method RTK; these measuring are observed in different dates, being able to quantify the
displacement of these points. As an application example in the Valencian Community, it is analysed the reservoir of Arenoso,
situated in the in the province of Castellón. All this information is managed with an specific application called SIG
(Geographical Information System) which permits to control the displacement of these points of control and therefore, the
corresponding displacement of the slopes
