Proyecto de Forestación con Encina (Quercus ilex subsp. Ballota) Micorrizada para la Producción de Trufa Negra (Tuber melanosporum Vitt.) en el Término Municipal de Benafigos (Castellón)

Abstract

[ES] El presente Trabajo Fin de Master es un proyecto en el cual consiste en la transformación de un terreno agrícola destinado al cultivo del avellano (Corylus avellana) de 7,9 hectareas en una forestación de encinas (Quercus ilex subsp. Ballota) con el fin de producir trufa negra (Tuber melanosporum Vitt.). Dicha parcela se ubica en el término municipal de Benafigos (Castellón). Presenta características idóneas en cuanto al suelo y el clima idóneas para el cultivo de trufas. La buena valoración económica de la trufa y sus buenos resultados en cuanto al cultivo hacen que sea una alternativa bastante rentable para los propietarios de las parcelas de Benafigos. También este cultivo puede ayudar al no abandono de muchas parcelas, problema que está en la actualidad. Se lleva a cabo la plantación con encinas micorrizadas con apoyo de riego por microaspersión con el fin de abastecer las necesidades de agua en los periodos con mayor sequía, ya que la cantidad de agua es un factor clave para un óptimo desarrollo de la trufa.

[EN] The objective of this Final Master Thesis is to transformation an agricultural land destined to the cultivation of the hazelnut (Corylus avellana) of 7.9 hectares in a holm oaks (Quercus ilex subsp. Ballota) plantation in order to produce black truffle (Tuber melanosporum Vitt.). This project is located in the municipality of Benafigos (Castellón). It has ideal characteristics in terms of soil and climate suitable for the cultivation of truffles. The good economic value of the truffle and its good results in terms of cultivation make it a very profitable alternative for the owners of the Benafigos plots. Also this crop can help the non-abandonment of many plots, problem that is happening nowadays. The plantation is carried out with mycorrhizal oaks supported by irrigation by micro-sprinkling in order to supply the water needs in the periods with the greatest drought, since the amount of water is a key factor for an optimal development of the truffle.
