| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Using Pictorial Abstraction as a Mean of Expression as a title, I present a proposal focused on the spontatenous and gesstural abstraxtion, carried out without previous drafts, letting myself be carried along by intuition. Through this work method I have accomplished an experimentation process; looking for a personal pictorial maturity which has brought me to discover the principles of American Abstract Expressionism, along with the European and Spanish Informalism, and exploring the most contemporary artists. From all of them, I look for the references that can be more conveniente to strenghthen my project, standing out the formal and aesthetical features that seem more relevant, and by this they will help me to progress during the process. In the same way, I will make use of the acquired knowledge throughout my degree, especially on the subjects of Painting and Abstraction and Strategies of Pictorial Creation. We could say that my working method departs from uncertainty as the key element: This incites me to make use of intuition. I experiment without any previous approach using the ʻerrorʼ effect in several cases, which works as a base for certain plastic elements that remain hidden during the work process, but once brought to light, are defined and identified and are selected to take essential part of the plastic work methodology. The approach to this mean of expression allows me to investigate the possibilities of the painting itself, being this study the fundamental motivation to develop the piece that is enriched with textures. My work expects to look for an understanding with the spectator more beyond the physical appearance of the painting. I expect to develop my own pictorial language by the gesture, creating this contact with the piece and experimenting with several plastic resources: with the aim of setting my own style and, at the same time, looking into my own emotions and reactions to pour out them into the painting. I will experiment with chromatic violence with the aim of reaching the personal plastic language, by wich I can express my vision of the painting. I am interested in the chromatic structure and the quality of the matter that transfers an emotion into the piece, that ʻgets the spectator involved into an attitude towards the colour contents and the shapes, waiting for him to become aware of it, as long as he is taken to feel something more that his own perceptions . My pictorial project is formed by a serie of paintings carried out upon rigid supports, like boards on stretchers; with formats yet to decide, and using the acrylic tehcnique, along with the encaustic technique. During all the process, I aim to supply documentary evidence of my work with the Artist Book, in which I will note down all the steps and anecdotes, or investigations that might emerge. | es_ES |
