Infraestructura de acogida. Entrelazando el paisaje portuario

Abstract

[ES] El puerto de Valencia y el final del antiguo cauce del río Turia forman parte de un paisaje urbano compuesto tanto de elementos aceptados como perturbadores, huellas y cicatrices, dotado de oportunidades para su regeneración.

Desde el centro de la ciudad, la rotundidad de la avenida de Francia se desdibuja, entrelazándose con un nuevo trazado fluvial continuo hacia el mar. El paisaje formado por la edificación y el verde articulan la escala y la relación entre lo nuevo y lo existente. Las líneas de agua dulce y salada de la ciudad, mermadas con el paso de los años, se reinterpretan trenzando un nuevo paisaje portuario.

La infraestructura de acogida portuaria se presenta con la continuidad de dos volúmenes arquitectónicos de un trazado que reinterpreta las instalaciones portuarias existentes, los astilleros y los tinglados. En su interior se encuentra una terminal de ferri y un centro de visitantes, un lugar de acogida y recepción, como elemento final e inicial de recorridos que conecta la ciudad con el mar. Los volúmenes construidos, antiguos y nuevos, cerrados y abiertos, generan una nueva topografía portuaria donde los espacios interiores y exteriores fluyen aportando un nuevo paisaje costero a la ciudad.

Acoger y recibir, entrar y experimentar, poner en valor el lugar y su historia.

[EN] The port of valencia and the old end of the Turia riverbed are part of a urban landscape composed of both accepted an disturbing elements, traces and scars, endowed with opportunities for its regeneration.

From the city center, the rigid avenue of france blurs, intertwining with a new and continuous fluvial outline. The landscape formed by the building and the green, articulate the scale and the relationship between the new and the existing. The fresh and salt water lines of the city, diminished over the years, are reinterpreted by braiding a new port landscape.

The port reception infrastructure is presented with the continuity of two architectural volumes from a layout that reinterprets existing port facilities, shipyards and sheds. Inside there a ferry terminar and visitor center, place for wellcome and reception, as the end and staring element of routes that connect the city with the sea. The volumes built, old and new, closed and open, generate a new port topography where the interior and exterior spaces flow bringing a new coastal landscape to the city.
