dc.description.abstract | [EN] This thesis calculates the aerodynamic coefficients and forces of the aircraft and refines the mesh. From the given fuselage to the point with the complete aircraft with wings and horizontal stabilizer, the program used to mesh is ICEM CFD and to compare forces and fluid dynamics interactions between air and body is used ANSYS Fluent®. One of the objectives of the project is also the improvement of the quality of the given mesh in order to obtain more accurate results. It is possible by changing distributions and moving vertexes to avoid big jumps in the different zones of the mesh. Related to ANSYS Fluent®, special attention is paid to the choice of the turbulence models according to the best results in the previous calculations and to the geometry and intended purpose. That is the reason for choosing the Shear Stress Transport k-omega. The comparison between the configuration without wings and without horizontal stabilizer with the complete configuration with those components confirms the expected difference in lift and drag. The complexity of the mesh gives still the possibility to improve its quality. | es_ES |
