[EN] In the current paradigm of the "burnout society" proposed by the philosopher Byung-Chul Han, it is possible to observe how the ancient forms of control of Foucault's disciplinary society have become more sophisticated in postmodernity, evolving into more discrete methods of self-control, related with the neoliberal imperative of "I can."
The project presented in this document deals with the conception and production of a practical artistic essay divided into four blocks, which investigate the identification of the individual and social mechanisms that enhance neuronal violence, in Byung-Chul Han¿s words, derived from self-performance and self-exploitation.
Furthermore, starting from the consideration of the hybrid and experimental nature of the artistic essay, Portrait of a Match investigates the possibilities of the conceptual and formal contributions of various languages such as video art, appropriationism or Mail Art, as well as the use of web and editorial resources. Through the symbiosis carried out in this project, it is intended to defend the facet of art as development of critical logics with the various effects of the "burnout society".
Thus, and through the artistic practice carried out, the ultimate aim of the project is to seek and promote the disarticulation of the mechanisms of "neuronal violence" related to postmodern neoliberal capitalism, advocating to reject the commodification of both time as of the people and the own mind.
