Analogía contextual. Sir Edward Hopper

Abstract

[ES] Norteamérica no tiene un gran pasado pictórico, es lo que tiene ser un país joven. No fue hasta mitad del siglo XX, cuando hubo un ¿Boom¿ de jóvenes artistas norteamericanos ( la mayoría de ellos habían vivido un tiempo en el viejo continente) como Rothko, De Kooning,Pollock, Jasper Jons inclusive Hopper. Artistas de distintos movimientos como el expresionismo abstracto o el Regionalismo, los cuales comenzaron a adquirir fama mundial y sentar las bases artísticas del joven país americano. Hopper, por tanto, fue una figura muy importante en el desarrollo artístico. Este proyecto girar en torno a la figura del pintor norteamericano, Sir Edward Hopper, artista que además ha sido una gran influencia para nuevas generaciones como Angel Mateo Charris.

[EN] North America does not have a great pictorial past, it is what it has to be a young country. It was not until the middle of the 20th century, when there was a ¿boom¿ of young American artists (most of them had lived in the old continent for a while) such as Rothko, De Kooning, Pollock, Jasper Jons including Hopper. Artists of different movements such as abstract expressionism or Regionalism, which began to acquire world fame and lay the artistic foundations of the young American country. Hopper, therefore, was a figure very important in artistic development. This project will revolve around the figure of the North American painter, Sir Edward Hopper, an artist who has also been a great influence on new generations like Angel Mateo Charris.
