Autonomous Vehicles - Smart Mobility

Abstract

[EN] These autonomous cars will provide additional functionality to our cars. Replacing the existing public transport by the autonomous car, delivers a huge quality improvement: transport from door to door, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and shorter travel times, freedom for everyone. The only thing that should be done is call the autonomous car and then it can come to you wherever you are and furthermore bring to you wherever you want, at any time. The main problem is that it is difficult to explain to other people this new concept. A person, who does not work on it, does not believe that it could be real or they just think it will not be real till a long time forward, because AV is something that people just see on futuristic movies, and that is too abstract. Other problem is that, the current AVs existents till now is just a current car with a lot of sensors, robots or devices around it, something curious but not beauty for an ordinary citizen, here there is a design problem and a big challenge.
