dc.description.abstract | [EN] Many living things can seek the origin of odours by tracing the airborne odour. Examples are police dogs tracing a suspect by the smell of his possessions, narcotic-sniffing dogs used to prevent smuggling of narcotics, and rescue dogs used to search for people buried under collapsed buildings at a natural disaster. If such localization can be realized by an artificial system, various applications are possible, including sensing of flammable and poisonous gases. Unlike the traditional applications of gas sensors such as gas leak warning, gas concentrations in various locations need to be measured quickly while moving in the case of a gas source localization system. Since it is not possible to wait for the steady-state value of the sensor response at each location, the system must be designed with reference to the response and recovery delay of the gas sensor in the presence of variations in gas concentration | es_ES |
