dc.description.abstract | [EN] In any project, design is, usually, one of the cheapest parts. But it is also the part that has the biggest effect on the total cost of the project. With a good first design, it¿s possible save a lot of money, because it is not necessary change in the middle of the process. Traditionally, the majority of resources of design and investigation have gone into manufacturing. This is a very important part of the factory, but there are other parts that need a good design to get good results. One of these is logistics. If the logistics system is delayed, the overall system can not work during this time, it has the same effect as a mistake in the manufacturing process. For this reason, in the last years, logistics has won importance, looking for an integration of all the members in the supply chain. To improve logistics, the system needs a complete organization to comply with the purposes, spending as less money as possible. The main aspects to improve logistics systems, from an overall perspective, are inventory, dates of sending and arriving of the products, size of lots, size of packages, mean of transportation, routes and, the main one, the performance of the resources. Each situation is different and has different solutions, but all the situations can have similarities and possibilities of analysis in the same way. | es_ES |
