dc.description.abstract [EN] Constantly people talk about innovation, development, research, flexibility, competitiveness, efficiency, effectiveness, process improvement, employee training, performance and the appearance of numerous Japanese terms, lean manufacturing, just time, Kaizen, Jidoka, Kanban, 5's, TQM (total quality management), TPM. (total production management) CCC (circles quality control), etc... Lately it speaks of a new term, the management of knowledge in organizations, known as KMO. This is an intangible resource of great importance to the strategy of the company today, due to the situation of the business environment; globalization and global market are taking every day the most significant changes in all business operations. Knowledge and its appearance and increasing importance as a new production factor has turned development of technologies, methods and strategies for its measuring, creation and diffusion into one of the main priorities for organizations at this new knowledge society. Without the knowledge, it would not be possible to develop the economy, and highlighting the current knowledge is it necessary for greater adaptability to competition in financial markets and for a proper management, both must to acquire the organization (public or private). This is the challenge that most companies around the world are starting to understand and implement within their organizations. To increase and maintain the value of intellectual capital, companies must invest in education and training of its staff, and new classification systems, performance and reward for employees. es_ES
