dc.description.abstract | [EN] The image analysis techniques have proved to be a powerful tool for the scientific analysis and for the documentation of paintings in the area of Research and Conservation of Works of Art. One of the most important technique in this area is the infrared photographic, since it was discover. The development of this technique is as fast as the evolution of the art works. Nowadays the equipment used and the results obtained are better than they were in the beginning, so the outcomes are the key in this area of Art research. The intention of this academia research is a deep scientific analysis and a historical review of the evolution of this technique in the area of equipment and in his own concept evolution. After the first analysis, we did an investigation using infrared radiation in specific bi-dimensional art works from the contemporary art collection of Polytechnic University of Valencia by two photographic equipment currently used for this kind of analysis. This research has two goals: the first one is the analysis of the qualities of the two equipment used for the investigation, and the other one, is learn about the different possible reactions of the contemporary artworks when they are analyzed in this specific range of the spectrum. The infrared technique has been normally used in art works from the fifteenth an sixteenth centuries, because those technical and material characteristics are best to have successful results. In the other hand, the contemporary art works use to be more heterogeneous, so their results are not so predictable. | es_ES |
| es_ES |
