[EN] Reactive multi-layer foils provide a localized source of heat up to 1500ºC in a
nanosecond; therefore they are useful to create solder joints, particularly in the
electronics sector.
The aim of this master thesis was to find an automated strategy to join components with
the nanofoils. This objective arises from the absence of an automated solution for this
type of bonding by nanomaterial.
The research part of this study involved the search of automated solutions for similar
processes, as this technology is fairly new only solutions for similar products such as
wafer and PCB’s were founded.
Next stage of the master thesis was to look for methodologies in order to design the
optimal layout for the automated solution. After the study of the different methodologies
the conclusion was that the Systematic Planning of Manufacturing Cells is the
recommended procedure to follow due to the characteristics of the problem.
After describing the Systematic Planning of Manufacturing Cell method, it was applied
to a theoretical case study for different possible product which will be manufactured in
the cell. Once the theoretical approach was developed, practical cases from the industry
world are posed such as PCB assembly.
At the last part of the study, the practical cases are described in detail with modules and
requirements for a possible future implementation.
