Nowadays it is common to use subwoofer arrays in live sound applications.
Configurations of cardioid type, arcs, end-fired, and others, are used for
directing the beam of pressure to the public, trying to cancel the back radiation
to prevent the pressure in the stage be high and clean the signals captured by the
microphones on stage.
Systems engineers have learned to make some configurations in courses or
sharing experiences with each other, as there is few works and formulation of
different types of arrays.
This paper aims to collect the most commonly used settings, giving a rigorous
mathematical formulation, through a subsequent simulation of them using two
different techniques to compare results. Also aims to develop new
configurations of arrays and have a software tool that allows easily configure
such arrays
