dc.description.abstract | This thesis deals with laboratory measurements conducted to validate the assumptions made when estimating aggregate interference from multiple transmitters in indoor environments. Existing work has assumed that the transmitters are uniformly distributed over a given region. Measurements along the propagation environment are performed for validating the model. The Multi-Wall model is used for obtaining the path loss of the interfering signals. Aggregate interference is calculated by the incoherent sum of individual interfering signals. It is observed from the results that the uniform distribution of transmitters is a good assumption for locations far away from the transmitters. But for locations not suficiently far away from the transmitters, the aggregate interference is dominated by the interference contribution of the closest transmitter. Considering those locations with the assumptions made leads to errors when estimating the aggregate interference. In these locations, more complex interference models need to be used for estimating the aggregate interference. | es_ES |
