Abstract

[EN] Under the same title as the research project it stems from, this book is intended as the catalogue for the exhibition held at the ICO Museum (Madrid) between June and September 2014. The project, under the direction of Iñaki Bergera, brought together several researchers and guest authors in order to analyse, document and disseminate the role of photography in the construction of modernity in Spain. Both the exhibition and the catalogue are vehicles for the initial presentation of the research carried out.

[ES] Compartiendo nombre con el proyecto de investigación del que deriva, este libro está planteado como catálogo de la exposición llevada a cabo en el Museo ICO (Madrid) entre los meses de junio y septiembre del año 2014. El proyecto, bajo la dirección de Iñaki Bergera, reúne a varios investigadores y firmas destacadas con el objetivo de analizar, documentar y divulgar el papel de la fotografía en la construcción de la modernidad en España. Tanto la exposición como el catálogo sirven para presentar, por primera vez, los resultados de la investigación desarrollada.
