La mujer y la fotografía

Abstract

The present project is focused in the role that women has taken and takes in photography, both behind and in front of the camera. With this essay I aim to study the function of the women in the photography world and obtain conclusions that, I believe, I will be able to use in a future. Starting with the first females photographers that, most of the time, if not always, used to work anonymously under the badge of a men, to their undeniable reign as a photographer models as well as muses. With all of this, I will remark the importance of the females not only in photography but in almost all the artistic fields studied until now.

El presente proyecto se centra en el papel que ha tenido y tiene la mujer en la fotografía, tanto detrás de la cámara como delante. Con este escrito pretendo estudiar la función del carácter femenino en el mundo fotográfico y así sacar conclusiones que espero me sirvan en un futuro. Empezando por las primeras mujeres fotógrafas que, en muchos casos, si no en todos, trabajaban anónimamente tras el escudo de un hombre hasta su indiscutible reinado como modelos fotográficos, pasando por las musas de otros. Con todo esto, remarcaré la importancia de las féminas no sólo en la fotografía sino en prácticamente todas las áreas artísticas hasta el momento exploradas.
