| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] Diseases caused by fungi belonging to the family Botryosphaeriaceae are considered one of the main problems of almonds crops, causing decline and death of branches. In this work the effect of five fungicides (Boscalid, Mancozeb, Thiophanate-methyl, Pyraclostrobin, and Tebuconazole) was studied for the protection of pruning wounds. The trial was conducted in a greenhouse on plants of the cultivar Ferragnes. For this purpose 240 pruning cuts (240 plants) were made, fungicides were applied immediately in the wounds, and then they were inoculated with 4 fungal species (Diplodia seriata, Neofusicoccum mediterraneum, N. luteum and N. parvum) at 1 and 7 days after pruning and fungicide application. In general, all fungicides applied to protect pruning wounds against the infection caused by Botryosphaeriaceae spp. lost effectiveness over time from the time of treatment. Of the five active substances evaluated Methyl-thiophanate and Mancozeb were the most effective, followed by lesser extent for Tebuconazole. The other active substances Pyraclostrobin and Boscalid were the least effective. Of the four fungal species inoculated Neufusicoccum luteum was less sensitive to the fungicide treatments when the inoculation was done 1 day after pruning and fungicide application, while at 7 days no differences were observed between fungal species. | es_ES |
