dc.description.abstract | This project consists of a study of the flow around low-‐rise buildings and how it interacts along the surfaces. To study that, two techniques will be covered: oil technique and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). It will give an overview of the oil technique, how to apply and its resolution and for CFD it will go through basic steps using Ansys Fluent software. A comparison of the results will be studied to come up to conclusions and finally, another method to measure the speed that has been used for many decades and is still being used nowadays will be covered: the 3-‐tube probe; insufficient anyway as a flow technique. The calibration of this instrument will be explained too. | es_ES |
