¡Ángela! El libro ilustrado infantil como método de concienciación

Abstract

[EN] The present final master’s degree project consists of two parts. The first one framed inside the Block I, is a theoretical investigation on which we base our later plastic work. In it we realize a review of the key concepts that we work: the ecology and the illustrated children’s book. We study how for years these concepts have been connected between themselves to manage to make aware the society and wake up more respectful attitudes with the environment. We study the environmental initiatives that do of the design and the illustration its battle tool, and the proposals from the echo-design for a more respectful and sustainable production. Inside the same block, we analyze what influences are exercised by the illustrated children’s book in the intellectual development of the children, and we study too the characteristics that a picture book must have to be appropiated for the children and to help them to understand and to get involved into the story, in enviromental questions. In the second block of our project, we present our main target that is to create an infantile illustrated album, and explain the technical and technological description of the same one. Basing on the information obtained in the theoretical block, we develop a picture book for children between 3 to 6 years, which of a simple and entertaining form brings the children over to different animals species, up cheering it to discover the importance of these and the need to respect them.

[ES] El presente proyecto final de máster consta de dos partes. La primera, enmarcada dentro del Bloque I, es una investigación teórica en la que fundamentamos nuestro posterior trabajo plástico. En ella realizamos una revisión sobre los conceptos clave sobre los que trabajamos: la ecología y el álbum infantil ilustrado. Estudiamos cómo desde hace años estos conceptos se han enlazado entre sí para lograr concienciar a la sociedad y despertar actitudes más respetuosas con el medio ambiente. Ahondamos en las iniciativas ecologistas que hacen del diseño y la ilustración su herramienta de batalla, así como en las propuestas desde el eco-diseño para una producción más respetuosa y sostenible. Dentro de este mismo apartado, analizamos qué influencias a ejercido el álbum ilustrado infantil en el desarrollo intelectual de los niños, y estudiamos las características que un libro ilustrado debe tener para adecuarse al público infantil y ayudarles a entender e involucrarse a través del cuento, en cuestiones medio ambientales. En el segundo apartado de nuestro proyecto, Bloque II, damos paso a la presentación de nuestro objetivo principal que es crear un álbum ilustrado infantil, y a la descripción técnica y tecnológica del mismo. Basándonos en la información obtenida en el apartado teórico desarrollamos un libro ilustrado, dirigido a niños de entre 3 a 6 años, que de una forma sencilla y divertida acerque a los pequeños a distintas especies de animales, animándolo a descubrir la importancia de estos y la necesidad de respetarlos.
