[EN] When we talk about animation, probably many people remember some images of the great Disney Studios production. However, the animation is an art that began as a mere visual trick. Such art has been changing and adapting to each moment in history. Technical research in this field has evolved so much that today it is difficult to distinguish a virtual, digital, and animated image of a real image. From the beginning, animated films have tried to imitate reality. And fiction films have used animation to recreate effects, situations or fantasy characters to feel real. In this way, the images created helped the viewer to find the reality that was looking for. Animation is an art able to change and adapt to meet the expressive needs of any artist. We could go back to the Stone Age when our ancestors were drawing in caves boar hunting scenes with eight legs imitating reality; trying to capture the speed of the animal running.
Moving forward in time we can see examples of mimesis of reality in all figurative films since the early days of cinema. Human beings try to imitate what they see and animation is the perfect art to give "Soul" to anything. In the last three decades CG2 animation has transformed the visual panorama worldwide and is in these years where we will focus our research. We'll see how advances in technology have been instrumental in the changes that have occurred in the art of animation.
