La vivienda japonesa: sentidos, convivencia y belleza

Abstract

[ES] La vivienda japonesa se ha destacado en el mundo de la arquitectura, gracias al increíble manejo del material y técnicas constructivas, el planteamiento espacial, la sobriedad con la que se constituyen los ambientes y el profundo sentimiento hacia la naturaleza y su relación con el humano. Factores que han llevado a crear hogares conexos con el paisaje natural y el entorno urbano. He escogido este tema por mi interés por las atmósferas flexibles y la composición de espacios, que desde mi punto de vista es la característica principal que hoy en día se sugiere para las nuevas arquitecturas en occidente. En Japón se ha venido desarrollando de esta manera desde siglos atrás, en viviendas y templos tradicionales. Tomando como prioridad el valor de los sentidos y la sensibilidad humana del habitar, la estética de los espacios limpios, sin excesos y libres de pretensiones banales. Una arquitectura puramente funcional entregada a la naturaleza y ligada vigorosamente al espíritu de que reside en ella, que convive con el hombre y que se complementan el uno con el otro. La arquitectura de la vivienda nipona sigue siendo una rica fuente de aprendizaje. Que se ha hecho evidente incluso en la arquitectura moderna a nivel mundial, siendo una gran influencia para la composición de entornos minimalistas y sobrios. Esto ha llegado a crear un contraste entre el mundo tradicional japonés y el increíble progreso espacial y material que han inculcado los nuevos arquitectos japoneses contemporáneos.

[EN] Japanese housing has stood out in the world of architecture thanks to the incredible handling of material and construction techniques, the spatial approach, the sobriety with which the environments are built and the deep feeling towards nature and its relationship with the human. Factors that have led to create homes related to the natural landscape and urban environment. I have chosen this theme because of my interest in flexible atmospheres and the composition of spaces, which in my view is the main characteristic that today is suggested for the "new architectures" in the West. In Japan it has been developing in this way for centuries, in traditional houses and temples. Taking as a priority the value of the senses and the human sensitivity of dwelling, the aesthetics of clean spaces, without excesses and free of banal pretensions. A purely functional architecture given to nature and strongly linked to the spirit that resides in it, which coexists with man and which complement each other. The architecture of the Japanese housing continues to be a rich source of learning. It has become evident even in modern architecture worldwide, being a great influence for the composition of minimalist and sober environments. This has come to create a contrast between the traditional Japanese world and the incredible space and material progress that have been instilled by the new contemporary Japanese architects.
