This research, which has been nominated River Landscapes: The city of Valencia and the River Turia. Methodology of intervention in urban riverbeds, has the specifi c mission to address a comprehensive study of the historical, social and morphological Turia River as it passes through the city of Valencia, and direct current involvement in what might be called generically their new urban landscapes considering the recently built gardens in the old Turia riverbed as the origin and expression of these landscapes. The program’s main objective is to obtain results quantifi ed and verifi ed, that after being expressed in various documents, allowing immediate future urban developments especially guide future intervention aimed at potential open spaces, both urban and suburban, in specifi c assessment and environmental impact. An exhaustive study, initially expressed in a comprehensive compilation of data, alluding to both the history and morphology of the old bed of the Turia and the current urban environment associated with it, their social interactions, their evaluation by citizens expressed through the design of surveys and its relation to other green spaces of recognized interest, will learn more about the real involvement of the old riverbed of the Turia in the expression of the current city, revealing their true potential in the face of their use, under various considerations in the development of future city.
