SUMARY Everybody knows the importance and necessity to innovate in the textile industry. In order to confront a complex situation that present the sector, innovation must arise at technological level, in processes and looking for new markets. In the present thesis, we have applied an innovation of technological base to replace market necessities. The technological innovation is based on the application of the technique ultrasound cutting and fusion on juxtaposed of knitting weaves, with wide between 1400 - 2000 mm, with the purpose of obtaining bidimensional structures similar to threads with thicknesses from 250 to 1250 Tex. The threads obtained through weaves base, have been analyzed meticulously by the effective norm with the purpose of guaranteeing the validation of such, so that it does not present/display problems in his later weaving. The thread obtained by cut and fusion displays differentials characteristics conventional ones. Characteristics depends on the structure and finishing proces on base weaving that will be cut. It allows obtein threads with excellent texture, threads with different pile height, printed threads, voluminous threads, etc. and even if we left from weaves microencapsulations we can obtain aromatic threads, thermoregulators, moisturizing, etc Cutting weaves by ultrasounds technique has been presented to the Patents and Marks Office in Spain (March 2003) in order to protect the invention. At present, we are preparing a memory to patent a product that is carried out with this procedure.
