Abstract

[ES] El Complejo de Investigación + Desarrollo + Innovación se encuentra al lado de la Universidad Jaume I de Castellón. 3 cuerpos macizos se encuentran opuestos entre sí, como fracturados desde el centro. Entre ellos se extiende el río, creando visuales. Los cuerpos se ciñen de acuerdo con la pauta del lugar. Esto ayuda a conectar varios espacios públicos. La formación del edificio tiene una textura diferente entre la superficie interna y externa de la parcela. Las fachadas externas están cubiertas con un muro cortina de vidrio y rejas grises que protegen del sol. Las líneas horizontales ofrecen una apariencia sencilla y moderna. También hay que destacar el espacio interior. Los vidrios se combinan con las placas de metal y la malla de aluminio en diferentes planos triangulares que crean un patrón. Tal textura también hace que la superficie interna sea una superficie llamativa. El Complejo de Investigación + Desarrollo + Innovación se separa en tres partes: Start Up, Spin-Off y zonas comunes. Todos estos espacios están ubicados alrededor de una plataforma pública de acuerdo con el terreno original. Las Start Up se encuentran al oeste del edificio, mientras que las Spin-Off al noroeste y las zonas comunes al sureste. Los visitantes acceden a la plataforma desde diferentes lugares. En el sótano se encuentra el parking, las zonas comunes relacionadas con cada volumen y diferentes servicios del edificio.

[EN] The Research & Development Institute is located close to Jaume I University. The Institute is composed of 3 solid structures, all of them facing each other from a common central point. Between the mentioned structures a river flows creating visual arts. The figures stick to the pattern of the site, helping to connect different public areas. The 3 bodies combine different textures between the external and internal sides of the plot. The front of the 3 separate structures are covered with crystal curtain wall and grey fences that protect from solar irradiation. Horizontal lines show an state-of-the-art and simple appearance. On the other hand, the internal design combines metal and aluminium with different triangular figures that create a common pattern and a visually attractive surface. The Research & Development Institute is divided in 3 areas: Start Ups, Spin-Offs and common areas. These separate areas are located in a public infrastructure accordingly to the original land plot. Start Ups area locates on the west while Spin-Offs on the north-east and common areas on the south-east. Visitants access from multiple entrances. On the underground, the building has parking areas and facilities management desks.
