Vega, una nueva vida. Una mirada sobre la maternidad y la crianza desde el reportaje fotográfico y audiovisual

Abstract

[EN] With this documentary photographyand video work, the aim is to record and inform about the arrival of a new life in the world. Capture what an important event entails, such as the birth of a new component of the family, what affects it and the conditions in which both the new-born and the family live. Documentary photography is one that faithfully represents and freezes a fragment of reality, which is why two years have been spent photographing and collecting the maximum information on this event. The main objective of this research is tocapture through the image not only the beauty of creating new life, but the sudden changes in the woman's body and in a first-time marriage in the motherhood stage. The methodology used has consisted of the monthly approach to the family in order to record all the important events of this birth. As a result, a series of photographs and a documentary video have been obtained, and this process will also allow the creation of a photoengraving book as a newspaper.

[ES] Con este trabajo de fotografía y vídeo documental, se pretende registrar e informar acerca de la llegada de una nueva vida al mundo. Captar lo que conlleva un acontecimiento importante, como es el nacimiento de un nuevo componente de la familia, lo que afecta a ésta y las condiciones en las que vive tanto el recién nacido como la familia. Se conoce como fotografía documental a aquella que representa fielmente y congela un fragmento de la realidad, por ello se ha dedicado dos años a fotografiar y recopilar la máxima información de este acontecimiento. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es plasmar a través de la imagen no solo la belleza de crear nueva vida, sino los cambios bruscos en el cuerpo de la mujer y en una pareja durante la etapa de la maternidad. La metodología empleada ha consistido en el acompañamiento a lo largo de los meses a la familia, con el fin de registrar todos los acontecimientos importantes de este nacimiento. Como resultado se ha obtenido una serie de fotografías y un vídeo documental, y además este proceso permitirá la creación de un libro de fotograbado a modo de diario.
