Pinturas murales del santuario de la Virgen de la Loma en campillo de Altobuey. Estudio técnico y propuesta de intervención

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo final de grado tiene como objetivo realizar un estudio técnico sobre los fragmentos de pinturas murales que se conservan en el Santuario de la Virgen de la Loma, situado en Campillo de Altobuey (Cuenca). Tras este estudio se elaborará una propuesta de intervención que sea lo más adecuada para el tipo de bien cultural, según su estado de conservación.

Antiguamente había pinturas que decoraban las paredes del santuario, la cúpula y las capillas. En la actualidad, tan solo quedan algunos restos, los cuales se encuentran en las dos primeras capillas, situadas a la derecha y la izquierda del pasillo central que conduce hacia el altar.

Estas pinturas están realizadas por artista desconocido y posteriormente a 1712, cuando el santuario se construyó. En ellas se representan escudos con inscripciones en el centro de los mismos y ¿decoraciones vegetales¿ alrededor.

Mediante el examen visual, la toma de fotografías, la recogida de datos y la realización de diversas pruebas previas, se ha determinado el estado actual de conservación de las pinturas, respaldado también por la información recopilada extraída de libros y testimonios personales, sobre la historia del pueblo y sus orígenes. Con todo esto, se ha podido desarrollar una propuesta de intervención adecuada a las necesidades de la obra, añadiendo también una propuesta de conservación preventiva para prevenir que las pinturas continúen deteriorándose a lo largo del tiempo.

[EN] The objective of this final degree project is to carry out a technical study on the wall paintings that remaron in the Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Loma , located on Calle de la Virgen 16210, in Campillo de Altobuey (Cuenca ). After this study, an intervention proposal will be elaborated trying to be the most appropriate for the type of cultural property, according to its state of conservation. In the past times there were paintings decorating the walls of the Sanctuary, the dome and the chapels. At present, only a few remains remain, which are found in the first two chapels, located to the right and left of the central aisle that leads to the altar. The paintings are made by an unknown artist and after the year 1712, when the sanctuary was constructed. The paintings form a kind of shields with inscriptions in the center of them and "plant decorations" around them. Through the visual examination, the taking of photographs, the collection of data and the performance of various preliminary tests, the current state of conservation of the paintings has been determined, also supported by the information collected from books and personal testimonies, on the history of the town and its origins. With all this, it has been possible to develop an intervention plan or proposal appropriate to the needs of the work to enrich its visual and structural state, also adding to the proposal an idea of preventive conservation to maintain the paintings over time
