Recuerdo un bosque. El retorno de lo Muerto: Fotografía y Pintura.

Abstract

[ES] El proyecto parte de la hipótesis: La Fotografía es Muerte y la Pintura Vida. Esta justificación parte del archivo fotográfico personal del artista y de la adopción de tres figuras esenciales, sin las cuales la imagen no existiría: creador (fotógrafo/pintor), espectador y espectáculo (la imagen: pintura/ fotografía), conformando así la Red de Miradas. A través de la Red, se establece un diálogo entre Fotografía y Pintura, en el cual el artista se enfrenta a la imagen fotográfica a través del proceso pictórico. Ambas disciplinas se retroalimentan, conformando dos imágenes similares que, a su vez, difieren. Es sólo a través del choque, su dualidad y convergencia sistemática, con la que podemos llevar a cabo esta correlación. Se abordarán temáticas como el paso del tiempo, el archivo de fotografías amateur, la mímesis, la mecanicidad de la fotografía frente a la manualidad de la pintura, la memoria y el retorno de lo muerto a través del proceso pictórico.

[EN] The project starts from the hypothesis: Photography is Death and Painting is Life. This justification stems from the artist's personal photographic archive and from the adoption of three essential figures, without whom the image would not exist: Creator (photographer/painter), Spectator and Spectacle (the image: painting/photography), thus forming the Network of looks. Through this Network, a dialogue between Photography and Painting starts, in which the artist confronts the photographic image through the pictorial process. Both disciplines feed off each other, forming two similar images that, in turn, differ. It is only through the clash, its duality and systematic convergence, that we can carry out this correlation. Topics such as the passage of time, the archive of amateur photographs, mimesis, the mechanical nature of photography compared to the manual nature of painting, memory, and the return of the dead through the pictorial process will be addressed.
