Tanatoturismo en España, una tendencia turística en auge

Abstract

[ES] El tanatoturismo o turismo negro consiste en viajar a lugares relacionados con la muerte y/o tragedia; puede estar enfocado no solo al entretenimiento sino también como forma de aprendizaje o de recuerdo de la historia allí sucedida. En España el tanatoturismo no está muy desarrollado si se compara con otros países de Europa, como por ejemplo Polonia, que atrae a muchos visitantes a sus campos de concentración. En este trabajo se pretende presentar diferentes lugares en España con recursos para este tipo de turismo, se analizarán las motivaciones de quienes lo practican, y se plantearán además diversas estrategias para fomentarlo, basándonos en el gran interés que ha ido adquiriendo durante los últimos años.

[EN] The dark tourism consists of travelling to places related to death or tragedy; it can be focused not only on entertainment but also as a way of learning or remembering the history that happened there. In Spain, dark tourism is not very developed when it is compared to other countries in Europe, such as Poland, which attracts many visitors to its concentration camps. The aim of this work is to present different places in Spain with resources for this type of tourism, the motivation of those who practice it will be analysed, and various strategies will be considered to promote it, based on the great interest it has been acquiring in recent years.
