[EN] Currently, energy worldwide is increasingly aware of caring for the environment and our planet. This project arises from the need to evolve together with the global movement, to limit climate change, and lead the Castellón refinery towards a more sustainable future by producing biofuels, in this case, marine biodiesel in the Heavy Diesel Hydrotreatment unit ( HGO). In addition to the economic incentive that currently and increasingly in this business, products of biological origin. During a period of about a year, biological feed was co-processed in the unit and corrosion problems were identified, so it is extremely important to analyze the damage mechanisms and seek solutions to reduce and/or mitigate them.
The main objective of the TFM is to adapt the HGO unit for the production of biofuels from raw materials of biological origin, since the co-processing of these (used cooking oil, soybean oil, among others) implies solving operational problems. related to corrosion mechanisms
