| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] Drought poses a natural threat to agriculture, with the potential to be devastating in numerous regions. In this context, biotechnology can be a crucial tool to mitigate these effects, by providing methods and approaches that open up new perspectives for s olutions. Preliminary results obtained within the framework of this study suggest that the NST2 gene, in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana , has played a pivotal role in the evolution of this species to adapt to varying levels of water availability. The findings of this study confirm the importance of the NST2 gene in root development, in addition to examining the responses of mutant plants for this gene to ethylene, indicating a propensity for the formation of root hairs | es_ES |
