CONCEPT EVALUATION FOR THE FACTORY LOGISTICS OF A CHEMICAL PLANT

Abstract

[ES] En el presente trabajo se realizará un análisis de la logística operativa de una empresa dedicada a la producción de cosméticos, tanto de marca propia como de marca blanca, y a la distribución de envases de cosmética y perfumería.

Para realizar el estudio será necesario presentar un informe sobre la situación actual de la empresa, explicando todos los elementos que intervienen en su actividad: la instalación donde trabajan, los sistemas de almacenaje y máquinas que utilizan y la forma de operar para producir, almacenar y distribuir sus productos.

A continuación, se propondrán una serie de alternativas relacionadas con la logística para reducir tanto los costes económicos como el tiempo de las operaciones. El objetivo de este apartado es buscar diferentes opciones que permitan a la empresa mejorar su productividad y eficiencia.

Una vez concretadas las alternativas anteriores, se realizará una planificación de los subsistemas seleccionados para estimar cómo va a ser la implantación real en la empresa. Los resultados de esta planificación y el funcionamiento de las alternativas elegidas se desarrollarán y mostrarán a través de un software de simulación denominado "Technomatix plant simulation".

De los resultados obtenidos se extraerán una serie de conclusiones para determinar la mejora en el rendimiento empresarial debido a los cambios logísticos propuestos.

[EN] In the present work, an analysis of the operational logistics of a company dedicated to the production of cosmetics, both own-brand and private label, and to the distribution of cosmetic and perfumery packaging will be carried out.

In order to carry out the study it will be necessary to present an inform about the current situation of the company, explaining all the elements that are involved in their activity: the installation where they work, the storage systems and machines that they use and the way they operate in order to produce, storage and distribute their products.

After this, a number of alternatives related to logistics will be proposed in order to reduce both the economic costs and the time of operations. The objective of this section is to look for different options that will allow the company to improve their productivity and efficiency.

Once the above alternatives have been specified, a planning of the selected subsystems will be carried out to estimate how is supposed to be the real implementation in the company. The results of this planning and the functioning of the chosen alternatives will be developed and showed through a simulation software called ¿Technomatix plant simulation¿.

From the results obtained, a series of conclusions will be drawn to determine the improvement in the business performance due to the logistics changes proposed.
