Romance con la muerte. Divina Comedia, una reinterpretación artística.

Abstract

[ES] A partir de la novela del siglo XV, Divina Comedia, escrita por Dante Alighieri, estructurada en tres partes, infierno, purgatorio y paraíso, se pretende crear tres reinterpretaciones plásticas y visuales de la obra. Este escrito recopila todo el conocimiento adquirido durante la historia, sobre la religión, la fe y el convencimiento filosófico y moral. Brillante por su historia y por su simbolismo mitológico y medieval, se considera una de obras maestras de la literatura universal, siendo digna de inspiración y reinterpretación artística.

El proyecto se centra en crear a través de esta novela, una serie de tres video instalaciones, siguiendo la propia estructura de Divina Comedia, en primer lugar, infierno, continuado de purgatorio y finalizado en el paraíso. Para esto se pretende hacer una reinterpretación escrita de la obra, sintetizando los conceptos hasta crear una nueva poesía, una para cada uno de los tres ciclos. A partir de armonías y música, esta poesía será convertida en una canción, que le dará el sentido a la obra plástica y visual. Una vez concluida las tres canciones para los ciclos, comenzará el proceso de creación de tres instalaciones, que serán parte de la escenografía de la obra, y una vez construidas, se llevara a cabo una serie de performance dentro de la propia instalación, que serán grabadas y editadas hasta crear tres video instalaciones.

[EN] Starting with the 15th century novel, Divina Comedia, written by Dante Alighieri, structured in three parts, hell, purgatory and paradise, it is intended to create three plastic and visual reinterpretations of the work. This writing compiles all the knowledge acquired during history, about religion, faith and philosophical and moral conviction. Brilliant for its history and for its mythological and medieval symbolism, it is considered one of the masterpieces of universal literature, being worthy of inspiration and artistic reinterpretation.

The project focuses on creating through this novel, a series of three video installations, corresponding to the very structure of Divine Comedy, firstly, hell, continued from purgatory and finished in paradise. For this, it is intended to make a written reinterpretation of the work, synthesizing the concepts until creating a new poetry, one for each of the three cycles. From harmonies and music, this poetry will be turned into a song, which will give meaning to the plastic and visual work. Once the three songs for the cycles have been completed, the process of creating three installations will begin, which will be part of the scenography of the work, and once built, a series of performance will be carried out within the installation itself, which will be recorded and edited to create three video installations.
