ESTUDIO Y PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN DE LAS PINTURAS MURALES UBICADAS EN EL TRASAGRARIO DE LA IGLESIA PARROQUIAL DE SAN MIGUEL ARCANGEL, BURJASSOT.

Abstract

[ES] La iglesia parroquial de San Miguel Arcángel de Burjassot, alberga en su interior varias muestras pictóricas de gran relevancia. Entre ellas se encuentran varios murales en dos de las cúpulas del periodo más fructífero de José Vergara y otras supuestamente del mismo autor en la cúpula del trasagrario.

Ya que a lo largo de la historia las pinturas de Jose Vergara han sido objeto de estudio, el presente Trabajo Fin de Grado se centra en la realización de un estudio de las pinturas murales ubicadas en las cuatro pechinas de la cúpula del trasagrario, las cuales representan personajes bíblicos del Antiguo Testamento.

Para ello se ha recopilado la información necesaria con la intención de profundizar en el estudio histórico, iconográfico y técnico de la obra objeto de estudio. Así mismo, se han realizado estudios tanto organolépticos, fotográficos y de recogida de datos empíricos de las pinturas, para poder determinar los factores de deterioro presentes y el estado de conservación en el que se encuentran. Todo ello tiene como objetivo poder elaborar una propuesta de intervención que se adecue a las necesidades de los murales.

Igualmente, se proponen diversos sistemas de conservación preventiva con la intención de poder mantener las pinturas dentro de unos parámetros adecuados y así, poder evitar posibles deterioros futuros.

[EN] The San Miguel Arcangel church in Burjassot has several pictorical exhibitions of great relevance. Among these, there are some murals on two of the domes, from the fruitful period of José Vergara and others supposedly by the same author on the trasagrarian dome.

Since throughout history, the Jose Vergara¿s paintings have been studied, this Final Degree Project focused on the study of the mural paintings ubicated on the four pendentives of the trasagarian dome, which represent biblical characters of the Old Testament.

For this purpose, information has been recopilated in orther to look into the historical, iconographic and technical study of this work. In the same way, there have bien carried out organoleptic and photographic studies and data collect of the paintings, to determinate the deterioration factors and the state of conservation of the samples. The purpose of all this is todevelop an intervention proposal necessary for the murals.

At the same time, different systems of preventive conservation are proposed with the intention of being able to keep the paintings in the right parameters and in this way avoid possible future deterioration.
