Estudio y propuesta de reutilización adaptativa de las casas-chalet del complejo siderúrgico del Puerto de Sagunto (Valencia)

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo parte del reconocimiento de la relevancia del patrimonio industrial de Puerto de Sagunto, como conjunto siderúrgico de gran importancia histórica que ha sido olvidado durante un gran periodo de tiempo debido a que no se le otorga la debida atención a aquellas edificaciones que fueron producto del auge industrial entre los años 1900 – 1975 y que poseen valores arquitectónicos, patrimoniales e históricos que se deben salvaguardar apropiadamente. Dentro del conjunto de edificaciones que conforman el patrimonio arquitectónico de Puerto de Sagunto, en la denominada Ciudad Jardín de la Gerencia, se encuentran las casas chalet, inmuebles que se encuentran en mal estado de conservación ya que no han sido propiamente intervenidos y que aún en la actualidad no cuentan con un uso público ni privado, lo que acelera su deterioro año tras año, incrementándose así el riesgo de derrumbes parciales. Debido a todo lo expuesto, este trabajo pretende analizar las condiciones y necesidades del entorno en el que se encuentran estos bienes patrimoniales, identificar su potencial y evaluar la viabilidad de una propuesta de reutilización que muestre mayor compatibilidad junto a un plan de gestión que sea congruente y sostenible.

[EN] The present work is based on the recognition of the relevance of the industrial heritage of Puerto de Sagunto, as a steel complex of great historical importance that has been forgotten for a long period of time due to the fact that enough attention is not given to those buildings that were the product of the industrial boom between the years 1900 - 1975 and that have architectural, patrimonial and historical values that must be properly safeguarded. Within the set of buildings that make up the architectural heritage of Puerto de Sagunto, in the Ciudad Jardin of La Gerencia, are the chalet houses, buildings that are in a poor state of conservation since they have not been properly intervened and that even today, they do not have public or private use, which accelerates their deterioration year after year, thus increasing the risk of partial collapse. Due to all the above, this work aims to analyse the conditions and needs of the environment in which these heritage assets are found, identify their potential, and evaluate the feasibility of a reuse proposal that shows greater compatibility with a management plan that is consistent and sustainable.
