Las técnicas de arranque de pintura mural para conservar documentación histórica de un edificio

Abstract

[ES] La historia de un país, una ciudad o una casa, no se escribe solo en los libros sino en todos los restos materiales que perviven de una determinada época. Los dibujos, pintadas o grafiti que plasmaron los hombres en los muros de una casa, nos dan mucha documentación de sí mismos y de sus circunstancias. Y en tal caso las técnicas de arranque de pintura mural permiten conservar una porción de la historia lasmada en sus propios muros. Así ocurre con una casa ocupada durante la Guerra Civil Española por el ejército republicano y posteriormente por el franquista. En ella se alojaron los Requetés, como así lo demuestran algunos grafitis realizados por los soldados durante sus horas de acuartelamiento y que han podido ser recuperados gracias a los tratamientos de arranque de pintura mural.

[EN] The history of a country, a city or a house is not only something written in books, but in all the material remains enduring from a particular age. The drawings, paintings or graffiti left by men and women on the walls of a house give us a good idea of them and their circumstances. In this case the techniques for removal of mural painting enable a portion of the history materialised on the walls themselves to be preserved. This is the case with a house occupied during the Spanish Civil War by the republican army and later on by Franco¿s forces. This place provided lodgings for the Requetés, as is shown by certain graffiti left by the soldiers during the time they were quartered here and which have been recovered thanks to the treatment for removing mural painting.
