dc.description.abstract [EN] Classic Serpentine Belt Drive¿s behaviour is briefly described. All the elements of an Idling Stop System are introduced and the operating conditions carefully detailed, with special attention to the changes/ innovations to classic Serpentine Belt Drive. The benefits in noise reduction and fuel savings are also described. Some techniques to reduce non desirable vibrations or to achieve a smoothly and powerful start and re-start are detailed. es_ES
