Utilization of renewable energy sources in Spain

[EN] This project examines the situation of renewable energies in Spain, which means to the country a viable alternative energy and environmental benefits. These kinds of energy have an important role in future to reduce energy dependence with the outside of Spain and the fight against Climate Change. Spain as a member state in the European Union, it studies briefly the influence of European directives and challenges for the future. Against this background, Spain implements the directives by their own legislation and proposes its own objectives for the European Union to attain the common goal. It is studied the situation of each kind of renewable energy and described the state of the same. Comparison is made in Spain among other European Union countries and between regions of the Spanish state. Finally, it is concluded, which are the most important renewable energy at present and its future prospects in Spain.
