dc.description.abstract [EN] The presence of low-molecular weight compounds in recycled polymeric materials is an important quality parameter to guarantee their performance in second market applications. Different low-molecular weight compounds, such as residues of polymerization (styrene dimers and trimers) and degradation products (oxidated derivates of styrene) have been previously identified in samples of recycled high impact polystyrene (HIPS) from packaging applications, altering the properties of the recycled polymeric material. es_ES
