dc.description.abstract | [EN] The simulation is a technic which imitates the behavior of a system by a computer model, in which are expressed the characteristics of the system through logical mathematical relationships. Due to the technological advance of the computer simulation it has become a powerful tool for analyzing various systems, because it provides a way for solving problems that would be impossible or very difficult to do due to their complex. The collection of municipal solid wastes is an essential part in every city and it takes a lot of time and means. The goals of this project are proving the importance of using simulators, in this case Flexsim, in order to obtain the best solution in the field of queuing using some restrictions due to the problems of the wastes company with laws. For achieving the best solution it will be necessary to do some experiments before getting the good one. The wastes company is modelled as a terminal where the garbage truck arrives with the wastes and there they are processed and transported to other companies where the trash is processed. Queuing theory is a branch of simulation which provides us analytical solutions to some queuing problems. If there is not analytical solution available, discrete event simulation is the commonly used method for facing queuing problems, but it has the drawback of being stochastic and only being able to solve the single specific parameterized problems. | es_ES |
