[EN] In accordance with the current regulations, both European and state, on the
subject of energy efficiency, the following study and analysis were performed on a
single-family housing between party walls, located in the city of Valencia.
The present study was based on the use of all the possible renewable sources of
energy. These have been analysed from a technical point of view, and those considered unviable for either location or environmental reasons were ruled out.
The starting point is to reduce consumption, and consequently, energy demand. Firstly, an initial energy qualification was made. The result obtained was very unsatisfactory and typical of a construction previous to 1980 without thermal isolation. Later, improvements were proposed in order to reduce thermal losses, i.e. double partition, with the appropriate isolation, in all the closings of the building skin; changes of the typology of the hollows, both of the carpentries and of the glasses. The systems were studied after the reduction of thermal transmittances. Between all the possibilities, those redeemable in a period of 10 years, were chosen. The final result is a better energy qualification, with a reduction of the demand, using renewable energy sources,
and optimizing the resources.
